Solution to getting iCal to Sync over SSL
Well, I call it a solution, but it's more of a massive kludge of a workaround. That aside, here's how I did it... I wrote a python script which fetches my calendar that I want to sync with iCal, and prints it back at me. I then run this inside the local version of apache. I can then point my iCal to this location to subscribe to it - it's that easy. It does beg the question why the hell Apple don't want people to sync their calendars over SSL - presumably to force them into using .MAC.Posted on Sun 29th July 2007 by david
